Eshom and Ian grew up on Main Drive on the outskirts of Woodlake. Like most Gen-Xers they spent much of their time watching movies. Both brothers remember daily trips to Woodlake Video and some days watching four or five movies in a row. After graduating from Mt. Whitney, Ian also studied writing as an English major at California State University, Bakersfield, where he admits he was primarily studying college wrestling on an athletic scholarship. Ian finished third in the Pac-10 Player twice and was at one time ranked 3rd in the nation for Greco-Roman wrestling and 7th in Freestyle for his weight class. The brothers decided to move to Hollywood in 2002 and, along with four friends began working on scripts and making short films. They shot their first film in the Sequoia National Park for only $1,500 over seven days. But their first real break came in 2006 when “The Six,” directed a series of four short films that all took place at a movie theatre in the span of one night and each dealt in its own way with the common theme of men dealing with women. The movie, “Night of the Dog,” won the Gold Vision Award for best independent film at the Palm Beach Film Festival in 2007. A trailer of the movie can be seen on YouTube.com . Sharing the narrative are the ranch hands. Randel and Rooker Lee are brothers caught in the crossfire of their parents’ separation. Leslie Williams and Jackie Remmington are aspiring musicians, trying not to get caught up in their own success. Wade Kitchanski is at ends with his father, striving to find his own path outside the family paint business. The title of the movie is derived from the ranch hand characters, who are essentially “Lost On Purpose” because they don’t want any commitments or responsibilities getting in the way of having fun. The ranch hands are rounded out by Mike Lawson, who plays the role of Leslie Williams, and Peter Donovan, who plays Jackie Remmington. As the boys struggle to find direction, Ms. Liz and Delbert Furgeson launch into a full-blown war. The Nelms brothers eloquently explain the purpose of “Lost On Purpose”: “To find what you believe in, through change, through loss, even if it’s the small things; then hold on to it and fight for it, because in the end that’s all you have.” The men’s mother, Tracy Nelms, is doing all of the on-set catering. Several scenes were shot in Visalia, including the main scene of the dairy operations at a dairy on Road 68 just off Highway 198 and Highway 99. What could have been the most difficult scene to shoot, was actually made a lot easier due to the cooperation of an Exeter company. When the crew wanted to shoot a nighttime driving scene on Oak Street in Visalia, they decided to contact the railroad company that operated the line for safety reasons. So they called Dave Siegel Marketing & Sales Manager for the Exeter-based San Joaquin Valley Railroad. Siegel said the filmmakers contacted him on Tuesday to request the railroad close a 5- block stretch of railway running down the middle of Oak Street on Thursday night. So Siegel contacted his boss, General Manager Randy Perry, to see if it could be done in a few days. Because SJVR is owned by Rail America, a national company coordinating thousands of miles of railway, the company had local Track Inspector Joge Pantoja meet the crew at the site and coordinate with Trainmaster Sam Jones in Vermont to take the engine on that line out of service for the night. Coyne is the Tulare County Film Commissions, a position he was given after leaving as stepping down as spokesperson for the Tulare County Board of Supervisors. Coyne is the point person for the Tulare County Film Commission, which was established to encourage filming in Tulare County and provides support and assistance to the film industry. Filming activities create widespread economic benefits to Tulare County. The temporary influx of a film crew is like a shot in the arm for local hotels, motels, restaurants, and retail businesses. Occasionally, production companies hire local residents, providing temporary employment.

Mr. Coffee CHX23 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, Black Review ...

I purchased this model recently for use at work. I've used Mr. Coffee's for many years and have always found them a great value. I would think, though, that after 35 years of making drip coffee makers, Mr. Coffee would figure out how to make a carafe that doesn't drool on the counter every time it is used. I have tried every angle/pour method I can think of and I can't keep the coffee off the counter top. I've given up on cups. I now just pour it on the counter and drink it there. Dogs had the right idea all along. The coffee does taste good, though. Particularly if I have any cookie crumbs left on the counters...
